PE, Dance, and Aerobics Course Descriptions
In accordance with the physical education curriculum, all students will learn fitness-related knowledge during courses for PE credits, and each class will have its own units relating to the subject.
In accordance with the physical education curriculum, all students will learn fitness-related knowledge during courses for PE credits, and each class will have its own units relating to the subject.
- In PE you will experience units such as: volleyball, basketball, tennis, etc.
- In aerobics you will experience units such as: yoga, pilates, steps, zumba, etc.
- In beginning dance you will experience units such as: ballet, jazz, tap dancing, modern dance, etc. You will learn the history of dance through movements. The students will not be graded by dance performances held in class but by knowledge of the history of dance. Students may get the opportunity to dance on stage, but it is not mandatory.
- In beginning dance II (stage movements), you will learn dance stage regulations, how to express feelings, emotions, and movements through body motion.
- In advance dance you will experience unit such as: ballet, jazz, tap dancing, modern dance, etc. You will advance your beginning knowledge related to dance. The students should expect to perform on stage. Students will be graded by performance in class and on stage.
